It has been so long since I have written an actual blog post! Between Covid and waiting on home renovations to get started, I haven't been as motivated to sit down and write as I used to. The other day, however, I was inspired by an email titled Fall 2020 Starter Pack. They shared 7 items you need for this fall! Today, I wanted to share these trends and how I would style them, as well as provide some links to those items!
1. Bandanas
Bandanas are a great accessory, and it is new to me to think of them for fall! I love them as a headband or tied around a bag handle for a little extra texture. I have even seen them styled as a top or a belt! Click the pictures below to shop some of my favorites.
2. Skirt Suits
Most of you know that I am a huge fan of a matching set. I love when a skirt and top have identical patterns and can be mixed and matched! (see below where I styled a matching set from Kate Spade two ways.)
Skirt suits are included in this category (at least for me)! While I don't have any (yet), here are some of my favorites! (Click the pictures or Links Below to Shop!)
This set is a classic example of a skirt suit. It is a more rustic take on the blazer and skirt. This would style well with a t-shirt and sneakers or a sweater and boots/heels!
Here is an example that is more my style. A skirt suit doesn't have to match! I love this burgundy blazer paired with a plaid mini skirt. So cute!
Last is a matching skirt/top set that I am in LOVE with for fall! This is so chic and pretty and are great mix and match pieces. I would love to wear this look with some white booties!
3. Chunky Chokers
I am definitely more of a "less is more",minimalistic jewelry person, unless I have a statement piece! I love a big earring.. but this year is also about the statement choker! I love this look and need to incorporate it more in my looks! Click the pictures/links below to shop my favorite styles.
4. Cutout Dresses
I love a cutout back, especially for the summer, but this trend is carrying over to fall! Side cut-outs have become a bigger thing as well. This detail is a great way to give a hint of skin and is super cute! My favorite dresses with cutouts are more romantic and feminine. Click below to shop!
5. Flat Boots
Flat boots are all about comfort and ease. I love a good Chelsea boot for an everyday look! They are super comfortable and chic. I linked some favorites below along with some that are rain boots!
6. Sweater Sets
This trend is something I am very excited about and have been wearing a lot since Covid started and I have been spending more time at home. A sweater set is so cozy and cute and can be diverse! You can dress them up or down! Here are some examples below:
7. Woven Bags
I love a good textured bag! Woven bags are so unique and give a lot of interest to what might be an otherwise boring accessory. I have had a couple pieces in my closet that have been on repeat over the years, so I am glad to see this is a trend!
