After Gus and I got back from our Spring Break trip to Turks and Caicos, we were surprised to come back to considerably warmer temperatures and some green-ish grass! It definitely feels like spring! It is a little hard to shoot spring looks right now, as it still looks like winter outside, but less and less so each day! We did find this amazing orange wall in Salina that pushed this look to the top of my favorite shoots of all time! Through the blog, I am learning just how much I love color.

The star of the show is this absolutely gorgeous dress from Chicwish! I am pleased to announce that Chicwish has decided to sponsor The Emerald Slipper and am so excited to show you their beautiful products! I have seen so many bloggers wear items from this company and have loved every single item I have gotten from them. This is a great brand for affordable, yet chic and good quality, clothing! It is all so cute. I highly recommend checking out their website. They have some wonderful stuff for spring!

I absolutely love our detail shots, but this one has to be one of my favorites. I love all of the pops of color! I purchased these Alfani heels from Nordstrom last summer and couldn't find them anywhere for this post, but have found some perfect similar options linked above! While this specific color wasn't found in the dress, I paired them with this look because of the delightful added pop of color. They make the look so much fun! Another pop of color is from this mint green bag. I was an awful blogger and forgot where I got this one from, but found some other mint bags from Aldo that are amazing!

I have shared this necklace from Rocksbox in the past (see here) and love it's dainty and minimalistic look! The low-cut v-neck of the dress was perfect for a necklace, whether like the one above or even a statement piece! Because of my headband, I wanted to keep the rest of my accessories understated because of the business of the whole look.

This headband from Headbands of Hope is also one of my favorites! The beautiful, gold band has these adorable honeybees. I have never seen a headband like it! It is so perfect for spring. Headbands of Hope is my first sponsorship for the blog and I wear a lot of their products lately, not really because they are sponsored, but because I truly believe in this company and what they stand for and their amazing products. They have so many cute hair accessories and for every item sold, an item is given to a child with cancer!
