I am not really a 4th of July person, really just because setting off fireworks terrifies me, but I do enjoy the time with family and the good food! My family usually tries to get together to celebrate every year, but this year, Gus and I are spending it on vacation. Chautauqua has festivities planned, including a nice buffet and a symphony pops concert! This look is perfect for 4th of July activities and for the rest of the summer!

I am in love with this Rachel Parcell dress from Nordstrom! This dress was part of her most recent launch and I had to have it! I love the vibrant, red color, the silhouette, and the cute, polka dot pattern. I do think that I should have sized down in this style, as it fit pretty loose around my bust and mid-section. I do like how the skirt lays, so I decided to keep the Small and just put a belt around my waist to add some definition!

Speaking of belts, the belt I used was a skinny belt from a 2 pack by Target! I purchased it a couple years ago, but I did find similar options linked above! This size Small is too large for my waist as well, but works great around my hips, so I just put it on the tightest setting and looped the extra around for a cute statement!

These shoes from SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Collection are just so gorgeous. While they were a splurge, they are the only expensive item in my closet, and I expect them to last me a while. I did link very similar, affordable options above as well as a similar SJP style. These exact shoes are sold out.

This fun and quirky, floral and polka dot print bag from Aldo Shoes was perfect for this look! I love that the colors are patriotic without trying to be patriotic, if that makes sense.. The last thing I want is to be cheesy! The red, floral pattern ties in the red dress and the larger polka dots play on the pattern of the dress as well.

My last accessories are these amazing statement earrings from Kate Spade that have been in my jewelry collection for a couple years now. They are all sold out but I have found one pair for resale and some similar options as well. I love their fun and different shape and texture. They are just so feminine and cute!

I finished off the look with a great, bright red lipstick from Kylie Cosmetics. This color matched the dress perfectly!
