It's hard, after surviving a summer of 90 and 100 degree weather, to remember what cool weather feels like. It is always surprising when 60 degrees feels so cold, when in a couple months, that temperature will feel like summer. Yesterday was a "chilly" 62 degrees for a high, so I had to bundle up for our date night! We spend some time walking around some of the lake and enjoying the wonderful views before supper.
I am really not a skinny jeans person, but the Good American brand by Khloe Kardashian has opened my eyes! This brand is very size inclusive, as they carry sizes 0 to 24 and their jeans are super comfortable. They give just the right amount of support but feel like a pair of leggings, which is perfect for me! They also fit very well. I have a pear shape, so jeans usually fit too loose around my waist (that ugly gap in the back is the worst!) and tight around my hips, butt, and thighs. These jeans, so far, hug every curve. They are somewhat expensive, so if you don't want to splurge, I have linked some budget friendly pairs above as well.
About a month ago, I discovered Bohme, a wonderful boutique with beautiful, modestly priced, bohemian inspired clothing. I have been hooked ever since. Both my long sleeved shirt and my cardigan are from this store. Sadly, the shirt is sold out, but I have found some similar striped shirts that would work just as well with this outfit! The cardigan is still in stock, and it is super cute, comfortable, and affordable. I love it so much, I have it in black and grey as well. It would also pair well with a fall dress and some booties!
I purchased these knee high boots from the Nordstrom sale this summer, and couldn't be happier to finally have some colder weather to break them in! They were about half their regular price at the time, so I have linked some less expensive options for you as well as the originals. These boots made me feel so good! They are faux suede and gorgeous. My Michael Kors backpack was a purchase from a couple years ago, so I have also linked some different options above, as the original was not available. I love the style and functionality of the bag.
I added a black velvet choker necklace from H&M to the outfit to embrace the edgier qualities in the bag and the boots. I topped the look off with some hoop earrings and have linked a similar pair above. This picture shows just a taste of the beautiful aspen trees that we traveled to see (many more pictures to come soon)! I can't wait to share more outfits with you next week from this wonderful setting.
