When planning what I wanted to do on my birthday this year, my plans kept falling through.. The last couple of years, I have tried to travel on my birthday. It doesn't have to be anything big, it's just fun to get out of the house and go somewhere new! This year, however, traveling just didn't work out and neither did most of our other plans... so I decided to have a work day. We shot a couple looks for the blog and took care of a few things for a musical we are playing starting tonight! I felt so pretty in this dress and wore this look for a family dinner that night.
A fellow blogger I follow on Instagram, Rachel Parcell, debuted a collaboration with Nordstrom last month. This dress was one of the many beautiful dresses that came from that collaboration! It was love at first sight. While the fabric and fit is a little different from that Gal Meets Glam dresses, I was happy with the purchase. This style was unique and I loved all of the incorporated texture with the ruffles! This dress fits true to size, maybe a little on the large size for me but not enough to size down.
These shoes from Chinese Laundry made the whole look. They are also so unique and interesting! I love the floral pattern on these heels! They will go so well with many of the dresses/skirts in my closet. They were pretty comfortable even though I changed into three different heels throughout the day for pictures. I also liked that the heel was a little wider, so I could walk through grass without a problem.
I have shared this Kate Spade bag in a previous post, see here, and it continues to be one of my favorite bags in my closet! While it has been sold out for quite some time, I did find some cute alternatives linked above. This bag added a fun floral accent as well and is the perfect size. It can be worn as either a top handle or a crossbody and has plenty of storage without being too bulky.
Last, but not least, were my accessories! I finished off the look with some baby pink floral earrings and a dainty, gold bracelet from Rocksbox, similar linked above, a super cute bobby pin bow from Violet & Brooks, and a great pink shade of lipstick from Kylie Cosmetics!
