My New Favorite Maxi

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

I absolutely love Rent the Runway! They have such a wonderful and affordable selection of clothing and accessories that I would not be able to justify spending the money on normally. There are three ways to rent from Rent the Runway. You can do a normal rental of an item that lasts for about four days, you can do a rental of four items a month, or you can invest in the Unlimited rental subscription. Unlimited is so great because you can rent four (or more for an extra price) items at a time but as often as you'd like! Unlimited subscribers also get a much larger selection of items. I use this to keep my wardrobe current and to also rent pieces for one-time events like weddings and fundraisers. It is so much better than having a fancy dress taking up space in your closet that you only wear once or twice!

This Jill Jill Stuart floral wrap dress is probably my new all-time favorite maxi. I felt so so pretty in it and it worked so well for my body type! Wrap dresses, in general, are a very flattering shape but this dress was a whole other level. I have a smaller bust but with this dress' poofy sleeves and a ruffle front, my body was more balanced out! The fabric was very flowy but still had a good weight to it and its dark floral pattern makes it the perfect transitional piece! This would look amazing with some booties in the fall.

Rent the Runway has wonderful accessories as well as clothing. This Coach saddle bag is something I wouldn't probably purchase for my closet, but you can rent it for only $39! This bag is so cute and has a unique front clasp! I loved how it paired with this dress. As always, I have linked some similar options for purchase above as well.

I paired one of my favorite pairs of shoes with my favorite dress! These Steve Madden heels are so comfy and versatile. I wore them all day and didn't have any pain. Their wide heel and ankle strap totally helped and they went so well with my bag.

I added pearl accessories like this pearl barrette from Amazon and some small pearl hoop earrings from H&M. I finished off the look with my signature red lip! This particular color is Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche lipstick in Cayenne.
