As a blogger, I am always trying to scout new shoot locations and love when I find somewhere special. I was browsing Facebook the other day, which I don't do very often anymore, and saw that Gus's 2nd cousin, Greg Peterson (Peterson Farm Brothers) and his wife, BrookAnna, had opened up one of their sunflower fields to the public to shoot pictures! They also have a lovely event space for weddings/reunions/etc. The flowers are the prettiest for around two weeks in late August/early September, and we were lucky to find this space while they still had their petals! --Fun Facts-- Kansas is known as the "Sunflower State". Growing up, my mom would always have sunflowers all over her kitchen as a way to remind her of her childhood in Kansas.

When planning this shoot, this Gal Meets Glam dress was the first outfit that came to mind. I had just purchased it from Gal Meets Glam's first ever Summer Sale and knew it was perfect for the location! I love its vibrant and summery pattern and the cute, cutout back detail that, unfortunately, I did not capture in the pictures.. While this dress is sold out now because of the sale, I did find some similar items linked above and will also keep an eye out for any restocks!

I styled this dress with one of my favorite summer bags, also seen styled here and here, from Etsy. Straw bags are so versatile and always adorable. This one was useful for carrying all of our supplies for the shoot, like a reflector and sunscreen! I also wore these adorable red bow slides from Nordstrom that have been in my closet for quite some time! They are such great summer staple pieces.

I finished off the look with one of my favorite hair clips from Violet and Brooks! I love the velvet fabric and the cute bow detail! My necklace is from Rocksbox, which is where I get most of my jewelry, and my earrings are from H&M. My lipstick is, of course, Kylie Cosmetics, in my favorite shade, Red Hot!
