As the holidays draw even nearer, I have been feeling more and more festive! I have been baking more, eating more (those things always go hand in hand), and getting excited for all of our Christmas plans! We are meeting with Gus’s family on the 22nd, going to see my grandparents and rest of family on the 23rdand 24th, and then coming back to our home to host my immediate family! This will be our first time hosting for Christmas at our house, or even being home on that day for that matter, ever! I couldn’t be more excited! This outfit is a great option for hosting, or attending, any holiday events with friends or family.

This adorable sweater from Cotton:On was the perfect match for my skirt! It is seriously one of the coziest and softest sweaters that I own. It is cropped, so it looked very flattering with the high waisted skirt. I just tucked it in the front and was good to go! Sweater and skirt combos are my favorite outfit options for the season. They are so comfortable and still look put together! This sweater is, unfortunately, sold out, but I have found some great options for you liked above!

I found this skirt from H&M after one of my favorite bloggers that I follow on Instagram, @rachmartino, shared her own outfit using it. I absolutely love the plaid pattern, especially for this time of year, and based my whole outfit around it. The midi length and matching belt are timeless and very flattering details. I feel like just about any body type looks good in a fit and flare midi. I have linked some amazing options above!

Of course, I picked these gorgeous Louise et Cie heels from Nordstrom, as they help showcase the beautiful red in the plaid pattern. These are some of my favorite heels of all time. They are a velvet material, which is everywhere right now. Just be careful to not get red velvet wet… I learned the hard way! Their 3 1/2" heel gives just enough height while still being super comfortable and the closed toe helped my feet not to get cold. Just a fact about me, I am not very comfortable in pumps, as they always pinch a nerve in my feet, so I almost always wear strappy heels, even in the winter. I just find close toed heels to stay a little warmer. See these heels styled with another outfit here!

I have shared this great convertible clutch/crossbody bag from Nordstrom in previous outfits (see here and here) and had to style it with this look as well! It’s simple, sleek lines were the perfect pairing to the skirt and shoes and helped dress up the outfit just a little more.

For my accessories, I kept things simple, as the pattern of the skirt is the main item in the look. I just wore some gold and pearl stud earrings from Rocksbox, an old faux pearl ring, and finished off the look with some red ribbon tied in my hair. I found this velvet ribbon at Hobby Lobby and felt just adorable wearing it! My lipstick is from Younique in the shade Sizzling. I shared this liquid lipstick with you in my holiday lipsticks post (see here) and love it so much! The wand gives you so much control of where the product goes. You can even use it to line your lips first before filling them in.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Happy week before Christmas! <3
