This weekend was full of some interesting weather around the state! Friday was rain...all..day.. and then, later that night and all through Saturday, that rain turned into about 4 or 5 inches of heavy, fluffy, beautiful snow! I was lucky in that I did not have to be anywhere on Friday or Saturday, so I got to hang out at home and relax inside by the fire. Gus and I did take advantage of the snow on Saturday, however, and shot a bunch of looks for you all! While it is cold and hard work, these snow pictures are always my favorites and have caused a new excitement for me each and every time.

We were able to take down Christmas decorations this weekend in our house, our outside decorations are not going anywhere for a while.. and it is predicted for more snow this coming weekend as well, so we will be very behind. I am not quite ready to let Christmas go anyway, so I chose this vintage/snow/holiday inspired outfit to share with you today!

This gorgeous dress from Something Navy's December collection with Nordstrom was the perfect clothing item for a snowy day. The fabric is literally the best thing I have ever felt in my life. It is extremely soft and has just a hint of sparkle, so I took that sparkle and ran with it in the rest of the look. This dress is unique in two ways: 1. It has these amazing balloon sleeves that add so much to the silhouette and 2. There is a key hole in the back. This is the first sweater dress that I have seen with one! While it is not necessarily something I liked about the dress, it does add a little sexiness and visual interest to the back.

Keyhole seen here.

While the dress was the inspiration and the base of the outfit, the whole look was made by the accessories. The snow inspired me to wear these amazing Charles David velvet and sequin booties, also from Nordstrom. I have never seen a prettier pair of boots and fell for them immediately. I also own these boots in a red leather! They are just too good! The heel is very comfortable and the inside is nice and roomy. No pinched toes or sore feet! While they look pretty in the snow, I wouldn't suggest that you wear them out in it. Wear them on a nice, dry day. There is no traction on these boots, whatsoever, so Gus had to help me walk!

What made this outfit feel so vintage was this pretty knit headband from H&M! I really like the rhinestone details on the top that give it a dainty and classy feel. It can dress up any look and help keep you warm! These kinds of headbands are also great for when you have your hair up and it is hard to wear a stocking cap. Sadly, this one is sold out, but I have found some others that I linked above!

This bag from Zara has to be one of my favorites in my closet. I love the high quality tweed material and the braided chain strap! This bag can add interest and texture to any look and that makes it super useful. It helps that it is on sale right now, too! (P.S. see if you can find Gus in the bottom picture lol!)

Instead of a necklace, I opted for this adorable thin scarf that was gifted to me a while back. I have no idea where it is from, but linked some similar options above. With the stripes of silver, beaded fabric and the fringe at the bottom, this scarf provided more vintage class to the look.

To help me stay warm, I finished off the outfit with some leather gloves from H&M, now sold out, and some opaque tights from Target.

I also wore some adorable snowflake earrings from Rocksbox (not pictured) to stick with the snow theme and a great, deep red lip color from Younique. They both completed the look perfectly.

Stay tuned for more this week! <3
